Lippi backs duo's defection

Italy's national team coach Marcello Lippi believes it is understandable that the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Kaka have left Serie A clubs this summer and moved to Spain.

Sweden international has opted to leave Internazionale to join Barcelona while Kaka has moved from AC Milan to Real Madrid.

But, speak to Sky Sport24, Lippi said: "It is normal to go in search of new challenges in football.

"Players always have the ambition to play for all of the best teams in the world, so it is understandable.

"We must not get angry at Ibrahimovic or Kaka as, I can assure you, their first choice was to stay in Italy."
