AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has revealed that his club will not sign Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic on loan, with a permanent deal the only option for the Sweden international.
The 28-year-old seems set to leave the Camp Nou after just one season to head back to the San Siro, having previously enjoyed success with Internazionale.
Galliani told Marca: "The player wants to join Milan. Barcelona are waiting to see, but the operation is difficult because of the player's wages.
"Both Barcelona and Milan have clarified their respective positions and at this point we are working on a permanent deal.
"No loan, the road is long and I can say a deal can be concluded with a 50 per cent chance."
