Flamini denies France snub

AC Milan midfielder Mathieu Flamini has rubbished reports which claimed he had decided to make himself unavailable for international selection.
Bleus coach Raymond Domenech's decision to send Flamini home from standby for Euro 2008 in favour of keeping injured team-mate Patrick Vieira in the squad was reported to have angered the former Arsenal midfielder.
But Flamini insists he remains available for international action and is hoping to feature in the forthcoming World Cup qualifying double-header against Austria and Serbia.
"I remain in the service of the France team. I'll always respond to a call-up," he told L'Equipe.
"I'm not someone who gets bitter about these things. I watched Euro 2008 on the telly and I was still a big supporter of Les Bleus.
"I felt concerned. Things didn't happen as we wanted it to, we missed a chance.
"But everyone has taken stock of things, now we need to turn the page and focus on the present."
