Brazil legend Cafu has confirmed that he will leave AC Milan at the end of the current campaign to return to his homeland.
The 37-year-old right-back moved to the San Siro in the summer of 2003, having previously played in Europe for Real Zaragoza and AS Roma.
Cafu told reporters: "Five years ago I chose to come to Milan because I knew that they were a big club where I could show everything that I had learned in my career.
"I have had five marvellous years in which I've managed to win everything.
"The joy of winning these titles will always remain within me, as well as my team-mates.
"It's the right time to leave now, which is sad, but I knew that sooner or later the time would come to go home, back to Brazil and my family.
"I don't know if I'll play on in Brazil. All I know is that my last game for Milan is on Sunday."
Cafu has made well over 100 appearances for the Rossoneri, while his illustrious career also saw him win more than 150 caps for Brazil and help his country to World Cup glory in 1994 and 2002.
