AC Milan must sell Robinho in order to sign Japan star Keisuke Honda
AC Milan have reportedly agreed personal terms with Japan playmaker Keisuke Honda, but can only sign him if Robinho leaves the club first.
According to football-italia.net, the Italian side have agreed terms with the CSKA Moscow player, with a four-year deal worth €2.5million per season currently pending.
Honda’s contract is set to expire with the Russian club in December, and therefore Milan are believed to be trying to force through a drastic reduction to his €7million asking price.
But in order to complete the deal, Massimilliano Allegri’s side must sell their Brazilian star.
Robinho is said to be of interest to former club Santos, but they’ve revealed that both Milan and the player are pricing them out of a deal.
Cruzeiro are reported to be desperate to sign the €8.5million rated 29-year-old, but have admitted they understand his desire to rejoin Santos.
After Keisuke Honda stated his desire to join “a bigger club”, resulting in his contract negotiations coming to a standstill, top teams around the world are monitoring the situation.
In the last few days, not only Milan, but also Tottenham and Everton have shown their interests in the Jap.
