AC Milan star Gennaro Gattuso claims he would be willing to take a pay cut if the Italian giants needed him to as they tighten their belt. With the global financial crisis taking effect, clubs are having to act more prudently, and Milan general manager Adriano Galliani revealed on Wednesday that he believes there will be few cash transfers this summer.Gattuso, who has been at the Rossoneri for 10 years, insists he is ready to sacrifice part of his own earnings for the good of the club."At times like these I'm in favour of a possible reduction in salary," he said. "I've already talked about it with Galliani."If the club ask me to take a pay cut, I'm ready."Gattuso has been out of action since undergoing an operation on a knee injury he sustained during Milan's victory over Catania back at the beginning of December. The 31-year-old, who will be sidelined for the rest of the season, has not set a date for a return to training. He added: "The surgeon will not allow me to go back on the pitch until at least five months after the injury, so we'll talk about it in May."[LNB]
