AC Milan close to signing Balotelli

For weeks and months now people have been speculating over Balotelli’s future, I for one have to admit that i am one of those people, and when quizzed about his future most would have pointed to Italy and more specifically AC Milan. And it now seems more then ever that this prophecy will come true. Not only that; a deal could be struck within the week.

City spent £24m on the striker in 2010 and he has struggled to settle down in England. However Man City are refusing to give in and want to make a profit on there young talent, as they demand £31m but this figure may well end up a lot closer to the original fee that City paid Internationale, AC’s rivals, 3 years ago.

AC Milan’s vice president, Adriano Galliani told an Italian newspaper that “At the end of Friday, City still said 37 million euros. We will see on Monday. In these conditions he will remain at Manchester City.”

Balotelli was recently involved in a training ground spat with current City boss Roberto Mancini. An incident rather played up by the media and down by Mancini and Manchester City. This may of now encouraged Mancini to give up on “Super Mario” and let him move on.

While an agreement over the fee is yet to be established, it seems that both clubs are very stubborn and unlikely to budge, so if a transfer fee can’t be agreed perhaps a loan deal until the end of the season may be more suitable. It’s something that Galliani doesn’t rule out completely.

Would Balotelli be missed by the English Premier League? How Much is the Italian forward worth?
