Young Dons Pair Share Award

30 May 2010 10:00
The polls have closed and the Aberdeen-Mad Young Player of the Year is... DONS starlets FRASER FYVIE and PETER PAWLETT will share the Aberdeen-Mad Young Player of the Year Award for 2010. Aberdeen-Mad punters have been voting in their hundreds for the last week to decide this year's winner of the award. And, for the first time, the Aberdeen-Mad YPotY will be shared between the two outstanding young players this season. Fraser Fyvie became Aberdeen's youngest-ever player when he made his debut aged 16 years and 8 months, and followed that up by becoming the SPL's youngest-ever goalscorer when he bagged the opening goal in Aberdeen's 3-0 drubbing of Hearts at Tynecastle in January. Fraser won the Clydesdale Bank Premier League Young Player of the Month that month. Peter Pawlett beat his younger colleague to the Clydesdale Bank award by two months, grabbing the November 2009 gong after some outstanding performances, and there is no doubt that his absence after knee surgery had an bearing on the Dons poor second half of the season. Congratulations to both players, and hopefully they, and the others involved in the poll, will push on next season and become integral to the Aberdeen first team. The final result: 1= Fraser Fyvie - 42.5% (124 votes) 1= Peter Pawlett - 42.5% (124 votes) 3. Michael Paton - 10.6% (31 votes) 4. Sone Aluko - 2.4% (7 votes) 5. Paul Marshall - 2.1% (6 votes) Total votes: 292   Subscribe to Updates Via Email | Recieve News Updates Via RSS Latest Topics From the Stand Free Message Board Click here to share your views with other Dons Fans
