Former Darlington striker Wright has had a difficult start to his Dons career following a series of injuries but grabbed his first goal for his new side in Tuesday night's 5-0 thrashing of East Fife in the fifth round of the Homecoming Scottish Cup.[LNB]And with Miller's regular partner Darren Mackie struggling with a hamstring injury, Wright hopes he will again be chosen to lead the line in Saturday's Scottish Premier League clash with the Arabs.[LNB]He said: "It was a weight off my shoulders to get that first goal but I think it was actually nicer just to get 90 minutes under my belt. Hopefully I can keep going from there.[LNB]"We have a massive six-pointer against Dundee United this weekend. It was a blow to lose to Hearts last Saturday.[LNB]"We keep giving ourselves the chance to go third but we keep messing it up. We need to put that right this Saturday."[LNB]Despite being a similar type of striker to Miller, 24-year-old Wright believes he can form a good partnership with the Scotland international.[LNB]"Lee is a great player and we are similar in style but he has certain aspects in his game that I can learn from," Wright said.[LNB]"He has a couple of years more experience than me and so I'm learning something every day from him.[LNB]"I think we can play together and I felt we had quite a good understanding against East Fife."[LNB]The Dons striker is determined to repay boss Jimmy Calderwood for the faith he has shown in him despite his injury problems since arriving at Pittodrie.[LNB]"The manager kept telling me to keep my chin up and that my chance would come," he added.[LNB]"I haven't really shown what I am capable of yet so I feel I have to repay the manager and the coaches. Hopefully I will get the chance to do that now."[LNB]East Fife manager Dave Baikie felt he could take a few positives from Tuesday night's tie at Pittodrie despite the comprehensive defeat.[LNB]Baikie admits it was a massive challenge for the Irn-Bru Second Division part-timers to come up against the top-flight Dons.[LNB]"At the end of the day, it is a learning curve for us," he said.[LNB]"A lot of our players have just come out of the Third Division and are still learning how to play in the Second Division, let alone playing against a Premier League side.[LNB]"But I thought in the second half we kept trying to pass the ball and rarely just humped the ball up the park.[LNB]"Chris Templeman was outstanding on the night. In fact, I thought 90% of our players did really well considering the circumstances."[LNB][LNB] Aberdeen 6/5[LNB], Dundee Utd 9/4[LNB], Draw 12/5[LNB]
