Aberdeen boss Jimmy Calderwood has his sights set on a number of new players for next season, but wants people able to fill in in a number of positions.
Calderwood is close to agreeing a pre-contract arrangement with Dundee United defender Lee Mair and wants to tie up more business as soon as possible.
He told the Press & Journal: "I am always looking for people who can play in a number of positions.
"That kind of versatility is what we are looking for, because you are always going to have injuries and in a squad of 22 you don't have a lot of options if people can't move around.
"We need players in wide positions and I am not too far from identifying who I want to come here in the summer.
"I would hope to have any business done by the time the season ends."
