Aberdeen winger Jamie Smith is set to make his first start since the turn of the year when Hearts are the visitors to Pittodrie this weekend.
The 26-year-old has been forced to undergo two operations on a troublesome groin problem in recent months, but returned to action as a substitute in the 2-1 win at Falkirk last Saturday.
He told the Daily Record: "Being out for the rest of the season was something that crossed my mind.
"I was in a lot of pain after the operation. It was one of those injuries where you had good days and bad ones. When it was bad, it was just a case of gritting my teeth and getting through it.
"Hopefully, that's the end of the problem, but I will probably get the odd twinge over the next month."
