Aberdeen manager Jimmy Calderwood is concerned that Scott Severin will not be fit enough to captain the Dons in the UEFA Cup clash against Dnipro.
Severin has a hamstring problem and could join Darren Mackie, who has a similar injury, on the sidelines.
Calderwood told the Press & Journal: "Scott got injured in the last minute of training on Tuesday when he knocked a ball out wide.
"Things like that never happened when I played and pitches were a bit muddier, but they're so firm now.
"It'll be a setback if Scott misses out, but someone else has to step up. If him and Darren aren't there, we'll just need to get on with the game without them.
"I wouldn't give Scott more than a 50-50 chance of playing, but I've said that before about him and he's come through to play."
