Robertson Awaits Injury Verdict

Dons defender Clark Robertson in enduring a nervous wait for the results of a scan on his knee, knowing he could face months on the sidelines.

Robertson collapsed in a heap after an innocuous challenge before half-time in the Dons’ 2-0 win over Motherwell at Fir Park on Wednesday.

The Scotland Under-21 international was stretchered off and it is feared that he damaged the cartilage in one of his knees.

But he had a scan on Thursday and both he and boss Derek McInnes are remaining positive until the results are in.

Robertson tweeted:

@adenclubb will need to wait and see what the scan says, hopefully not out for too long

His manager later added: "We won’t know the full extent of the injury until Clark is examined properly.

"It was clear he had to come off quickly and we suspect there could be some cartilage damage. We won’t have Clark for a few weeks at best, that’s for sure."
