Jamie started his career as a youth player at Dundee and went on to play for Raith Rovers (loan), Partick Thistle and Dunfermline before moving to Aberdeen in 2005. Has made 1 Scotland B appearance, and has been called up to the full Scotland squad as the third choice goalkeeper under Walter Smith, Alex McLeish and George Burley respectively. The Paisley-born keeper figured in every SPL games in 2009/10 keeping 14 shut-outs along the way and was voted by the fans to be the 2008/09 AFC Player of the Year. Jamie was regarded as one of the most consistent keepers in the SPL and looked to be key member of Craig Browns' Aberdeen squad for the 2011/12 season. However, things took a turn for the worse in May 2011 when Jamie suffered a seizure. Luckily the stopper made a full recovery from successful brain surgery and is looking towards a short-term loan to gain match-fitness.
