Paton makes Vale pay penalty
Michael Paton converted a late penalty as Port Vale suffered a 1-0 defeat to Aberdeen in a pre-season friendly at Vale Park.[LNB] Paton pounced with nine minutes left after Rob Taylor brought down Ryan Jack as the Dons extended their unbeaten run to 10 games.[LNB]Justin Edwards came close to an equaliser in the last minute but his cheeky backheel was kept out by Dons stopper Mark Howard.[LNB]
