Aberdeen manager Mark McGhee admits Jim Paterson's loan spell at Pittodrie could be over after suffering an Achilles injury.[LNB] The Plymouth defender, 30, limped out of the 2-2 draw with Dundee United with the problem but it was initially hoped the damage would not be too serious.[LNB]But, having so far failed to respond to treatment, Paterson has returned to Home Park for further treatment and diagnosis.[LNB]McGhee told the Aberdeen Press and Journal: "Paterson is going back to Plymouth.[LNB]"It looks as though he could take several weeks to recover and I do not even know if he will be able to play for us again this season.[LNB]"He will go back there and they will be able to take care of him and, hopefully, get to the bottom of his injury."[LNB]
