No Dons regrets for McDonald

Aberdeen midfielder Gary McDonald insists he is glad he agreed to move to the club in the summer despite struggling to break into Jimmy Calderwood's first-team plans so far this season.

The 26-year-old has started only eight games for the Dons this term following his summer arrival from Oldham Athletic, the last being almost two months ago.

However, McDonald told the Press & Journal: "I don't know what's gone wrong. I've spoken to the manager a couple of times and know it's just a case of waiting for my chance.

"That's what I'm doing now, working hard to get back in.

"I feel I've settled really well at Aberdeen, on and off the park. I have no regrets in football and certainly none about coming to Aberdeen - I'm still only at the start of my career with the club."
