ew Notts County recruit Stuart Nelson has revealed he is over the moon to have completed a permament switch to Meadow Lane this summer.[LNB] The 28-year-old former Norwich and Brentford goalkeeper, who will sign a two-year contract subject to a medical, decided to make the move to the League One newcomers after rejecting a new 12-month deal to stay at Aberdeen where he spent the 2009/10 season.[LNB]Nelson will now battle it out with fellow new signing Rob Burch for the number one jersey at Meadow Lane but at the moment he is just concentrating on getting used to life at County.[LNB]He told the club's official website: "It's brilliant, I'm delighted and definitely happy to get it all tied up. The aim now is to get settled so I can hit the ground running on July 5 when we return for pre-season training.[LNB]"I feel there's a better opportunity here (than Aberdeen). It's a two-year contract and the club's on the way forward. That's what I like about it, everything about the club. It looks settled and looking to progress, and that's what I want to do."
