McGregor punished with one-match ban

Rangers keeper Allan McGregor has been handed a one-match ban after being found guilty of violent conduct in the SPL match against Aberdeen.[LNB] McGregor, who played for Scotland in Friday night's 1-0 Euro 2012 qualifying defeat to the Czech Republic in Prague, had been charged after aiming a kick at Dons striker Chris McGuire during the 3-2 victory for Rangers at Pittodrie on September 26.[LNB]He has also had 12 disciplinary points added to his record.[LNB]The incident was not spotted at the time by any of the match officials but it was brought to the attention of the SFA who convened a video review panel during the week.[LNB]McGregor and Rangers were informed of the decision by recorded delivery post and email on Saturday and have seven days to appeal.[LNB]McGregor is set to miss next weekend's SPL clash with Motherwell.[LNB]
