Dons striker Niall McGinn aims to beat his 21-goal debut season in 2013/14.

The Aberdeen striker is determined to pick up where he left off last term and ensure the Dons improve upon recent dismal seasons.McGinn, who signed a new three-year contract this summer, hit 21 goals for the Dons - and fired a hat-trick against Huntly at the weekend to take his pre-season tally to four in two games.Niall McGinn told RedTV: "I have enjoyed my pre-season and scoring a hat-trick against Huntly was pretty nice."I feel sharp and it was important to get a few now to take some confidence into the new season."I want to pick up where I left off last year in terms of the goals."To score 21 goals was great in my first year as a striker and if I can do the same this year I would be more than happy."It would be great to get even more goals this term, that has to be the target. I want to get on the scoresheet as much as possible."
