McGhee hails double signing

Aberdeen boss Mark McGhee is confident that new signings Yoann Folly and Scott Vernon will prove to be successes in the SPL.

Midfielder Folly and striker Vernon have both impressed during pre-season training with the Dons and have been handed two-year contracts at Pittodrie.

McGhee told the club's official website: "Yoann has been training with us and I think he has done really, really well.

"He has played in the games and I see a lot he can do that is positive for us - in terms of the type of player we need, in terms of character.

"Scott is 6ft 2ins. He will win headers, he will link the play. He will get in the box, he will thrive on crosses and he has a decent goalscoring record and we hope he can bring that with him to the SPL."
