McGhee Wants A Win For The Fans

Dons boss targets a victory over Falkirk for the supporters and to add to his Wikipedia page. ABERDEEN boss Mark McGhee hopes his side can beat Falkirk in tonight's Co-Operative Insurance Cup to help replay the Dons support for its patience. The gaffer is eager to snatch the opportunity of a semi-final spot, adding that it is a rare chance in his own managerial career. McGhee has not had a glittering record in cups as a manager, as everyone who has checked out his Wikipedia page over the last few days will be aware. He said: "The only semi-final I've been in as a manager was when I was at Wolves and we were beaten by Arsenal, so you don't get that many opportunities as a player or a manager. "It's a huge incentive for everyone and an opportunity for some payback for the supporters. "Over the recent period they've been very patient and understanding of our trials and tribulations and it would be nice to give something back." It is expected that Falkirk boss Steven "That's what we are about" Pressley will pin this entirely uncontroversial article to the away dressing room wall in lieu of a well thought-out team talk.   Subscribe to Updates Via Email | Recieve News Updates Via RSS Latest Topics From the Stand Free Message Board Click here to share your views with other Dons Fans
