Aberdeen teenager Chris Maguire has been backed to become a crucial member of the Dons squad in the not too distant future.
The 17-year-old Dons starlet marked his first senior start with a goal in the 3-1 win over Kilmarnock, leaving assistant manager Jimmy Nicholl purring over Maguire's potential.
He commented: "Chris is the best prospect I have seen in a long, long time. We know what he is capable of and it was just a case of getting him in the team.
"He can play on the left, or the right and he has a great appetite for the game, along with confidence in his own ability.
"He will shoot from anywhere, try things and he is an exciting young player.
"I keep on saying it takes more than ability to be a top player and you need something in your character to get a chance, but he has that."
