Lovell nears Dons deal

The 24-year-old has agreed a three-year contract with the Dons after turning down the chance to join Leicester City in the wake of the Dark Blues' relegation from the SPL.

A delighted Lovell told The Scottish Sun: "Everything has been agreed. I always wanted to stay in Scotland if I could."

Lovell scored 28 times in 82 SPL outings for Dundee following his move north from Portsmouth in August 2002.
