Leighton leaves Dons coaching role

The former Scotland international, who played for the Dons from 1978 until 1988 and returned for a second spell in 1997, became the club's first-ever goalkeeping coach in 2000.[LNB]Boss Mark McGhee praised the former Manchester United stopper on Aberdeen's official website.[LNB]He said: "On behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to thank Jim for the massive contribution he has made in his two spells here, both as a player and a coach, and we wish him all the very best for the future."[LNB][LNB][LNB]
