Langfield backed for Scotland

Aberdeen goalkeeper Jamie Langfield has been tipped for a Scotland call-up by his club manager, Jimmy Calderwood.

The 29-year-old was in fine form during the 1-1 draw with Motherwell, with Calderwood backing Langfield to take the place of the disgraced Allan McGregor.

He commented: "Our keeper has saved us with what could be the save of the season. He has been like that all season.

"We have got one of the best goals-against records in the league and Jamie has had a wonderful season.

"There's a wee gap in the Scotland squad, so hopefully he can take his game on.

"He should have been in there anyway, because he was in there before when he wasn't playing like this."
