Aberdeen have agreed a pre-contract with Dunfermline Athletic goalkeeper Jamie Langfield.
The 25-year-old has decided to leave the Pars due to a lack of first-team opportunities and will add competition to David Preece and Ryan Esson at Pittodrie.
Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood told the Evening Express: "I am delighted to have signed Jamie for three years.
"He had a few options open to him where a first-team spot was guaranteed. Obviously that is not the case at Aberdeen because we have David Preece and Ryan Esson, but Jamie chose to take on the challenge and join Aberdeen.
"That is the great thing about this club, I cannot remember a player I have went for who did not want to join. Players want to come here if we can afford them.
"Jamie has a physical presence and has played for the Scotland Under-21 team and I think he has the potential to go far."
