Kerr stands up for Wright

Aberdeen's Mark Kerr has backed team-mate Tommy Wright to overcome a tricky start to his time at Pittodrie and prove to be a success with the Dons.

The 23-year-old has yet to impress since his move from Darlington and gave away the decisive penalty in the 1-0 weekend defeat by Dundee United.

However, Kerr believes that Wright will eventually come good.

He told the Scottish Daily Express: "Tommy has struggled with an injury and he's just back.

"His bad-boy image gives something for everyone to focus on but he's not that kind of guy.

"If he goes through a couple of games without being booked then that will go away. He's working hard in training and I'm sure it will come."
