Kerr: I haven't signed Dons deal yet
Aberdeen captain Mark Kerr has admitted he has yet to agree terms on a new deal to stay at the club.[LNB] The midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season and has still to agree a new deal to stay at Pittodrie, despite being an almost ever-present this season for the Dons.[LNB]The 28-year-old, who moved to the club just under two years ago from Dundee United, has had to endure tough times during what has been an immensely disappointing season for Mark McGhee's side after a fourth placed finish in the last campaign.[LNB]Despite his status within the side, Kerr admitted that he did not feel Aberdeen had done enough to make him feel wanted at the club.[LNB]"Contract talks here haven't been as frequent as people say. The club haven't been forthcoming in negotiating," he said.[LNB]"I've been offered a deal but when it is offered you negotiate. That's not happened throughout the team. Nobody has signed, not just me.[LNB]"I have to look after myself. If I was totally happy I would have signed. I'm happy at Aberdeen but I'm not just going to sign without negotiating."[LNB]Hearts are rumoured to be interested in signing the player next season, with manager Jim Jefferies rumoured to be determined to bring Kerr to Tynecastle.[LNB]Kerr did admit that he was open to another offer from the club and that if terms were agreed he would be happy to stay should they be able to settle their differences.[LNB]"I've never said I'm not signing. I've often said that if I had something else on the table then I would be honest and tell people. There's nothing there just now," Kerr added.[LNB]"The club obviously want to keep me. Maybe their hands are tied but I'm having a go at them.[LNB]"I am going to speak to the gaffer and hopefully we can clear things up but it's not in my mind to walk away."
