Aberdeen manager Jimmy Calderwood admitted he side were flattered by the scoreline in Tuesday's 2-0 victory over St Mirren.

Goals from Andrew Considine and Sone Aluko in the final ten minutes moved the improving Dons up to fourth place in the SPL table.

"It was a flattering victory to be honest," admitted Calderwood.

"I think (St Mirren manager) Gus McPherson will be very disappointed as his team did very well which I had expected.

"We have played a lot better and lost games.

"I thought our passing was poor and they were battling for everything and their passing was better, although they didn't create too many chances to be honest."
