Hughes: We'll be ready for Dons

The Dons went down 2-0 to two late goals at Easter Road in October after seeing two men sent off by referee Steven Nicholls.[LNB]The club's official website subsequently published an astonishing attack on Nicholls, accusing him of being "hell bent" on brandishing the red card.[LNB]But Hughes does not think the fallout from that game will have any bearing on events at Pittodrie on Saturday.[LNB]He told Hibernian TV: "I should not think that anything that happened in the past would have any effect.[LNB]"I would be disappointed and surprised at Aberdeen if they were not fired up, given they are playing at home.[LNB]"We have to go up there in the right frame of mind but I think we have instilled that at our club.[LNB]"We know what to expect in Aberdeen and will be ready for it."[LNB]Third-placed Hibs will travel north unbeaten in their last 11 SPL games, though they have had to make do with draws in each of their last four away matches, including at Kilmarnock last weekend.[LNB]Hughes added: "As I've said before, we need to see if we can capture some of that home form when we play away from Easter Road, and if we can do that, we will win the football match.[LNB]"I was not frustrated or angered by our performance at Kilmarnock, but I do feel that we can do things a little bit better and go out there and win the game - there is a bit more to come from this side.[LNB]"When we come off that park, we should be sitting back in a big sofa in front of the fire feeling well satisfied, knowing that you have given it everything you've got.[LNB]"That is what we have to put in from now to the end of the season if we want to keep going on the run we are in now.[LNB]"If we don't do that we will come unstuck; it's my job to keep cracking the whip and make sure they know this."[LNB]Hughes once again will be without Kevin McBride this weekend after the midfielder targeted the following game with Rangers for his comeback.[LNB]McBride, 28, has been out for a month after taking a kick on an ankle joint during the 1-1 draw at St Mirren.[LNB]He had been an ever-present this season prior to that and hopes for another extended run in the side starting with the December 27 clash with the champions.[LNB]McBride told the Edinburgh Evening News: "I've not been able to train for three and a half weeks now, so it doesn't look like I will be fit in time for the game this weekend.[LNB]"It is going slowly but surely in the right direction though and hopefully I will be back to full fitness again for the game against Rangers after Christmas."[LNB][LNB]
