Jamie Langfield is out of Aberdeen's pre-season training camp in England after spilling boiling water on his right foot.[LNB] The freak injury occurred on the bus journey south from Aberdeen and left the 30-year-old out for at least a fortnight.[LNB]Langfield's injury occurred on the way to Middlesbrough's Rockcliff complex, where the Dons squad completed a light session before setting off for their base this week at Loughborough University in Leicestershire.[LNB]The Scotland player was on crutches after receiving hospital treatment and was sent home last night with third-choice goalkeeper Scott Bain called for as his replacement.[LNB]Dons boss Mark McGhee admits his number one is now struggling to be fit for the start of the season if he is not back in time for the Kaiserslautern match on August 7.[LNB]"It is not as bad as it could have been but it is bad enough," McGhee told the Press and Journal. "He has burned his foot and it looks like he will be out for a few weeks.[LNB]"It is one of these unfortunate things but we cannot dwell on it. We all have to get on with it.[LNB]"You always know players can get injured but you do not expect this kind of thing.[LNB]"They were making coffee and he spilled boiling water on himself. You cannot legislate for it."[LNB]Langfield's injury means recent arrival Mark Howard will start the friendly encounter against Conference side Tamworth today.[LNB]McGhee added: "Mark has done well and he now has a few games to stake his claim.[LNB]"Jamie is number one but it looks like he will be out until the Kaiserslautern game.[LNB]"If he misses that one that puts Mark in the frame to start the season against Hamilton."
