Hamilton set for inspection

28 December 2010 01:30
Hamilton will hold a pitch inspection on Wednesday morning ahead of the scheduled Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash with Aberdeen. Accies are yet to play in December after Arctic conditions swept Scotland, with two matches at New Douglas Park already falling victim to the weather. And Wednesday's match with the Dons, set to kick off at 3pm, is subject to a pitch inspection at 8.15am. A statement on the club's official website, www.acciesfc.co.uk, read: "The undersoil heating is on and the pitch is thawing and improving every hour, but the consequence of that is surface water. That is draining and we will have an inspection by match referee Craig Thomson to check on matters in the morning."
