Five Dons Kids Pen New Deals

Aberdeen have looked to the future with five potential stars signing contract extensions today.

Centre-backs Michael Rose and Scott Rumsy, midfielders Matthew McMahon and Kieran Gibbons, and full-back Craig Duguid have all put pen to paper on new deals for the 2013/14 season.

A Pittodrie spokesman said: "All the players have impressed greatly during their time at the club and will be hopeful of impressing the new management team next season.

"Michael, Scott, Kieran and Craig have all been in excellent form this season for Neil Cooper's side while Matthew has been battling back from a serious injury sustained on International duty with Northern Ireland."

The five players join starlets Stephen O'Neill, Craig Murray, Craig Storie and Danny Rogers, who all signed new deals within the current season, in next season's Aberdeen Under-20 squad as the AFC Youth Academy production line prepares the next batch of talent at the club.
