Ex Ger Ross training with Aberdeen
The Pittodrie club's official website reported that the 28-year-old had asked Dons manager Mark McGhee if he could train with his first team.
Ross, who won the last of his 13 Scotland caps in the 6-0 defeat by Holland in 2003, was released by Kocaelispor at the end of last season so is free to join a club now.
The Dundee-born player went to Turkey via Norwegian side Viking Stavanger following short spells at Sheffield Wednesday, Wolves and Millwall.
