Aberdeen defender Stuart Duff looks set to miss Thursday's UEFA Cup meeting with Bayern Munich because of red tape.
The January signing was hoping to face the German giants in Thursday's last 32 first leg meeting at Pittodrie.
However, UEFA rules say clubs can only play three new signings in European competitions after January and Duff - who joined the Dons last month alongside Alan Maybury, Josh Walker and Dave Bus - looks set to miss out.
Meanwhile, manager Jimmy Calderwood is also sweating on the fitness of key trio Zander Diamond, Barry Nicholson and Darren Mackie ahead of the high-profile tie.
"The manager always knew he would need to make a decision," admitted Miller.
"It's a headache we hope to have in future seasons as well because it would mean we are still in Europe after Christmas."
