Aberdeen are on the verge of signing Stuart Duff on a free transfer following his release from Dundee United.
The Aberdeen-born midfielder agreed to terminate his contract with the Tannadice club on Thursday before training with his prospective new team-mates later in the day.
Duff made over 150 appearances during seven years with the Terrors.
"I don't foresee any problems with Stuart. He was out training with us today and everything went well," Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood told the club's official website.
"We'll have to wait until the club doctor is back to give Stuart his full medical, but I can't see anything untoward arising so I see him being with us until the end of the season."
