Dons target Hart talks

Aberdeen are set to make an improved contract offer to defender Michael Hart, with a host of the Dons squad out of contract at the end of the current campaign.
Talks with Hart stalled a few weeks ago, but the Pittodrie club are keen to re-open negotiations, with Chris Clark, Barry Nicholson, Jamie Langfield, Derek Soutar, Richie Byrne, Zander Diamond, Chris Maguire, Lee Miller and Steve Lovell also out of contract in a few months time.
Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood told the Press & Journal: "Willie Miller is going back to Michael with another offer.
"I have a meeting with Willie scheduled for Friday and we will hopefully be able to move forward.
"There is always going to be a problem financially but we have to think we have a chance of keeping them.
"A lot depends on the results. If we do well in the Scottish Cup and League Cup or go further in Europe it would help the finances.
"If we get through the Dinipro tie then all of our problems could be solved, so the important games coming up have to be our main focus."
