Dons take defender on trial

Aberdeen have handed a trial to former Falkirk defender Jean-Francois Lecsinel.

The 22-year-old Frenchman spent time with the Bairns earlier in his career and has returned to Scotland for a trial with the Dons from current club Guingamp.

"We have a lad over. He is going with us to Holland," manager Jimmy Calderwood told the club's official website.

"You can see it now how short we are defensively. We will have a look at him and take it from there."

Meanwhile, Calderwood is waiting to discover the extent of the injury picked up by fellow defender Alexander Diamond.
