Aberdeen boss Jimmy Calderwood has handed a trial to controversial Dutchman Iwan Redan.
Redan's career has stalled since he head-butted a Willem II Tilburg team-mate in a game two years ago and the 27-year-old striker failed to impress during a spell with Cardiff City in 2007.
Calderwood told the Daily Record: "I knew Redan when I was in Holland and he was at RKC.
"He moved to Roda with Martin Jol and was absolutely outstanding.
"He was linked with a big move, but when Martin left he didn't get on with the next coach and joined Willem II, where he had a problem with a team-mate."
