Scotland striker Stevie Crawford has signed a two-year deal with Aberdeen after negotiating a release from his Dundee United contract.
The 31-year-old turned down the chance to join the Dons in January, but director of football Willie Miller insisted that decision had not put him off signing the player.
"We have got Stevie Crawford on a two-year deal and he is just the sort of quality that we have been looking for at this club so I am delighted," Miller told The Scotsman.
"It's no secret that we have tried to get him here on a couple of occasions and I am just pleased that things have finally worked out for us."
Crawford has scored a career total of 128 goals in 446 league games during spells with Raith, Millwall, Hibs, Dunfermline, Plymouth and the Terrors.
