Dons fearing Aluko blow

Aberdeen winger Sone Aluko faces a spell out of action due to a stomach injury sustained in the 2-1 weekend win over St Johnstone.

Aluko had to be replaced at half-time at Pittodrie, with boss Mark McGhee concerned by the problem.

He told the Press & Journal: "I hope Sone's injury isn't too serious.

"He suddenly got a pain in his stomach that was stopping him running and judging by his reaction it was serious. It wasn't a trivial reaction and we'll have to see how he is.

"I hope he's okay because he's just come back in. We felt he had lost sharpness since coming back from the international set-up, but he has worked hard since.

"It's important we get him out there as soon as possible to keep it going."
