Aberdeen boss Jimmy Calderwood is interested in signing Lisburn Distillery striker Andrew Waterworth.
The Dons' assistant manager Jimmy Nicholl watched the 21-year-old score in Northern Ireland Under-21s 5-0 win against their Luxembourg counterparts last week.
Aberdeen are also interested in signing Newry captain Richard Clarke - a highly-rated midfielder who had trials with Sheffield United, Bury and Gillingham in the summer.
Calderwood said: "Jimmy was given a tip-off about the players and has been to watch both of them and assess whether they could make the step-up.
"He was very positive about both of them and I'll be going to watch them and assess them myself as soon as I get an opportunity."
