Aberdeen manager Jimmy Calderwood blamed a tiredness for his side failing to overcome ten-man Rangers in Sunday's 1-1 draw at Pittodrie.
Lee Miller cancelled out Charlie Adam's opener for the visitors, but Calderwood was unhappy that his players failed to capitalise on the first-half dismissal of Lee McCulloch.
The Dons had been in UEFA Cup action against FC Copenhagen on Thursday evening.
"Looking back, it's probably a point gained because I don't think we had the pace in our game," said Calderwood.
"We've got a wee excuse maybe - Thursday night - but I didn't give them too much sympathy in the dressing room a minute ago.
"Our passing was woeful and we never really got going.
"All credit to Rangers, they played well. I'm disappointed in my own team.
"I don't think we had the form of the day to go and win it."
