The Dons U20s finished their season in Inverness yesterday, securing runners-up spot in the Clydesdale Bank Youth League.

The Aberdeen colts completed their season with an excellent comeback as they turned a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 win over the Highland calves - read the match report on RedWeb here

The young Dons only finished behind Celtic and were comprehensively the top scorers in the league, hitting over 20 goals more than any other team including the mini-Tims.

Youth coach Neil Cooper told RedWeb: "The performance [against ICT] typified what the boys are all about and the way they have been all season.

"Even at 2-0 down it did not affect them. They kept going and kept playing football and managed to turn it around.

"The work rate and attitude of the players all season has been first class as has their performance levels.

"We have scored 77 goals which is more than any other team in the league by quite a long way. We also have one of the best defensive records.

"I could not be more pleased with all the boys."
