Dons striker targets Dutch date

The Aberdeen striker lasted 40 minutes of last week's Scottish Premier League game at St Mirren before limping off with a hamstring injury which led Pittodrie boss Jimmy Calderwood fearing his striker could be out for the rest of the month.[LNB]Miller won his second cap as a second-half substitute in the friendly against Argentina at Hampden Park in November and, given that George Burley is struggling for fit strikers ahead of the crucial game in Amsterdam which is followed by a home game against Iceland, he could feature against the Dutch.[LNB]The former Hearts and Dundee United man has certainly targeted the game against the Dutch for his return.[LNB]"I think I should be fit but it's not really up to me," he said.[LNB]"I'm not a physio and I don't know the ins and outs of it but if I'm feeling good, I will say I'm feeling good.[LNB]"It's just a case of letting it heal just now.[LNB]"Hopefully, at the end of this week or the start of next week, I can start getting rubs on it and see how it goes.[LNB]"I will just have to speak to the physios and see how I progress, day-in, day-out.[LNB]"I sneaked in for the Argentina game and got on in the second half and I did myself justice.[LNB]"I was surprised to be involved in the game but hopefully I can get myself fit and get in the squad for the Holland game.[LNB]"Just to be involved in the squad will be great but to be on the pitch would be massive to me."[LNB]Miller is also hoping his Aberdeen team-mates can get past the Pars in the Pittodrie replay on March 18 to set up a semi-final clash with Falkirk and get the chance to eradicate the nightmare of last season when they lost to Irn-Bru First Division side Queen of the South at Hampden at the same stage of the competition.[LNB]"Queen of the South is brought up all the time," he said.[LNB]"When you go on the pitch you forget about it, but it's one of those things that is always going to haunt you throughout your career.[LNB]"We have got a decent draw but Falkirk will be thinking that as well.[LNB]"But we can't look that far ahead.[LNB]"We have Dunfermline on our home patch and we have to take care of that.[LNB]"But I think it is time Aberdeen won a trophy.[LNB]"Getting to the final would be great, first and foremost, but to win a trophy would be massive for the fans and the city.[LNB]"We have been so close in the last few years and obviously the game against Queen of the South sticks out.[LNB]"We had the chance to get to the final but obviously they turned us over here at Hampden.[LNB]"But we have to put that in the past and hopefully we can get to the final this season."[LNB][LNB]
