Dons boss completes double swoop

Mark McGhee has bolstered his Aberdeen squad after wrapping up deals for Scott Vernon and Yoann Folly ahead of the new SPL campaign.[LNB] The pair are the club's fourth and fifth signings of the summer following the arrivals of Rory McArdle, Josh Magennis and Mark Howard.[LNB]Ex-Plymouth midfielder Folly has been on trial for a number of weeks and has impressed McGhee in pre-season outings.[LNB]Folly, a defensive midfielder, started his career at St Etienne before he was brought to the United Kingdom by Gordon Strachan during his spell as Southampton manager.[LNB]Paul Sturrock then took him to Sheffield Wednesday and then to Plymouth.[LNB]Folly represented France at youth level before making his senior debut for Togo in 2008.[LNB]Vernon featured for Colchester last season and the 26-year-old, who has also played for Oldham and Blackpool, goes straight into Aberdeen's squad to face Port Vale on Tuesday.[LNB]The striker completed a medical at Loughborough late on Sunday night.[LNB]Vernon has also had loan spells at Northampton, Gillingham and Southend during his career.
