Aberdeen winger Jeffrey de Visscher is desperate to get back to full fitness and prove his worth at Pittodrie, following a disappointing start to his time in Scotland.
The 26-year-old has made just nine appearances since his summer arrival from FC Twente, having struggled with injury for much of the time.
He told the Press & Journal: "I know I haven't been at my best so far and the manager knows that too.
"I thought I'd feel good after pre-season, but it was disappointing for me. I had surgery in the summer on my right knee and I trained hard to get fit again, but my body couldn't cope with the surgery.
"I haven't lasted more than 70 minutes in a game which really hurts, as my fitness was one of my strengths in Holland.
"I'm not ready yet for a full game and it's disappointing for me. I'm training extra by myself and I just need games to get the fitness back."
