Rochdale manager Keith Hill has accused defender Rory McArdle of quitting Spotland and heading to Scottish side Aberdeen simply out of greed.[LNB] Defender McArdle was one of several out-of-contract players offered new terms at Dale ahead of next season's League One campaign.[LNB]Having been offered a new deal, Rochdale would have received compensation had McArdle switched to another English club as he is under 24.[LNB]But a loophole in the laws governing the game allowed him to sign for the Dons without the Scottish Premier League outfit having to pay a penny to Dale.[LNB]Hill told the Manchester Evening News: "I can't see anything other than greed in Rory going to Aberdeen. He's gone to Aberdeen purely as there is no financial implication or compensation involved."
