Aberdeen have suffered a major injury blow after striker Dyron Daal was ruled out for at least six weeks after breaking a bone in his hand.
The 22-year-old picked up the injury in a reserve team game against Rangers in midweek.
Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood told the Aberdeen Evening Express: "Dyron's hand is now in plaster and we've been told it will be five or six weeks before he's fit again.
"It's a real shame for the lad because he'd just started to make his big push for a first-team place."
However, captain Russell Anderson and midfielder Jamie Smith have both been passed fit for the weekend clash with Dundee United.
